Description
Independent Crop Inputs Inc. (ICI) is a locally owned agricultural retailer serving growers throughout Southern Alberta. We focus on building strong relationships, providing exceptional service, and delivering practical agronomic solutions to our customers.
We're looking for enthusiastic Agronomy Summer Students to join our team for the 2027 growing season! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agriculture, work alongside experienced agronomists, and learn more about the crop input industry.
Positions are available at our Taber, Scandia, Iron Springs, and Whitla locations.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in agriculture, agronomy, crop science, or a related program is preferred.
Interest in agriculture and a willingness to learn.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's licence.
Previous agricultural experience is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities
Assist our agronomy and sales teams with field scouting and crop monitoring.
Help identify weeds, insects, diseases, and crop health concerns.
Collect field observations and assist with agronomic recommendations.
Support day-to-day operations and customer service as needed.
Learn about crop protection products, fertilizers, and agricultural practices.
Work alongside experienced team members to gain practical industry experience.
Term Of Appointment
Summer 2027 (approximately May to August), with start and end dates flexible based on school schedules.
