Description
Hell’s Basement Brewery is a locally owned craft brewery and taproom in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Established in 2016 and Raised from the Ashes in 2026, we are building the next chapter of the Hell’s Basement brand while maintaining strong roots in the Medicine Hat community.
We are looking for a creative and motivated Part-Time Digital Marketing & Social Media Assistant to help grow our online presence, promote our beers and taproom, and connect with customers throughout Medicine Hat and Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student studying marketing, business, communications, digital media or a related field to gain practical, hands-on experience with a growing local brand.
Qualifications
Creative, energetic and comfortable working with social media and digital content. Good written communication and organizational skills. Experience with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, photography, video editing or similar digital-marketing tools is an asset. Marketing, business, communications, graphic design or digital-media education is preferred but not required. Previous professional marketing experience is not required — creativity, reliability and willingness to learn are important. Applicants with a portfolio or examples of social-media, photography, video or design work are encouraged to include them.
Responsibilities
Create and manage engaging content for Instagram, Facebook and other digital platforms. Take photos and short videos of brewery products, events and taproom activities. Assist with creating posts, reels, stories, promotions and advertising campaigns. Help develop marketing ideas for new beer releases, events and special promotions. Maintain a consistent Hell’s Basement brand image and voice across digital channels. Monitor engagement and basic social-media performance and help identify opportunities to increase followers, customer engagement and taproom traffic.

Term Of Appointment
Some evening and weekend availability may be required for special events. Hourly wage based on experience, with opportunities for additional performance-based incentives and increased responsibilities as the position develops.
