Description
Hell’s Basement Brewery is a locally owned craft brewery and taproom in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Established in 2016 and Raised from the Ashes in 2026, we offer locally crafted beer together with a simple taproom food menu. We are looking for a dependable and energetic Part-Time Kitchen Helper to join our team. This is a good opportunity for a college student looking for flexible hours and practical experience in a friendly brewery and hospitality environment.
Qualifications
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous kitchen, restaurant or food-service experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing normal kitchen duties, including standing for extended periods. Good communication and organizational skills are important. Food-safety certification is an asset.
Responsibilities
Assist with basic food preparation and cooking, including burgers, fries and other taproom menu items. Prepare ingredients and food orders according to established procedures. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, wash dishes and kitchen equipment, restock supplies, and assist with opening and closing duties. Follow proper food-handling, sanitation and workplace-safety procedures. Work with taproom staff to ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Pay Rate

Term Of Appointment
Part-time ongoing position, approximately 20–25 hours per week. Flexible scheduling with afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a college student's class schedule. Hourly wage based on experience, plus applicable gratuities/tips. Opportunity for additional hours during brewery events and busy periods.
