Hell’s Basement Brewery is a locally owned craft brewery and taproom in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Established in 2016 and Raised from the Ashes in 2026, we are focused on quality locally crafted beer, friendly service, and creating a welcoming taproom experience. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and energetic Part-Time Bartender / Taproom Server to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a college student looking for flexible part-time employment in a relaxed, professional brewery environment.
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with customers. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous bartending, serving, hospitality or customer-service experience is an asset but not required. Training will be provided. Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol in Alberta and obtain/maintain required ProServe certification. Basic cash-handling and POS experience is an asset. Must be able to safely perform normal taproom duties, including standing for extended periods and handling cases of product.
Responsibilities
Provide friendly and professional customer service in the Hell’s Basement taproom. Serve draft beer, packaged beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food items. Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system. Maintain a clean and organized bar and customer area. Restock beer, glassware and supplies as required. Assist with opening and closing duties and brewery events. Follow all AGLC requirements and responsible liquor-service practices.

Term Of Appointment
Part-time ongoing position, approximately 20–25 hours per week. Flexible scheduling with afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a college student's class schedule. Hourly wage based on experience, plus applicable gratuities/tips. Opportunity for additional hours during brewery events and busy periods.
