Our team is collaborative, reflective, and passionate about creating exceptional early learning experiences. We are currently seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator (Level 3) to join our Infant/Toddler Program and support the growth and development of our youngest learners.
Qualifications
Employment Requirements
Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification (required)
Minimum 2 years of experience working in an early childhood education setting preferred
Experience working with infants and toddlers is considered a strong asset
Valid First Aid Certification (Child Care First Aid preferred) or willingness to obtain prior to employment
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with young children throughout the day
Knowledge of play-based learning, child development, and responsive caregiving practices

Position Details
Position Title: Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3 – Infant/Toddler Program
Location of Work: Medicine Hat, Alberta
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Language of Work: English
Base Wage: Starting at $20.00 per hour plus Government of Alberta wage top-up of $8.62 per hour for eligible Level 3 certified staff (total potential compensation starting at $28.62 per hour, subject to government funding eligibility)
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Benefits: Cost-shared health and dental benefits may be available after eligibility requirements are met, along with paid vacation as per company policy
Job Duties
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming for infants and toddlers in accordance with Alberta’s Early Learning and Child Care framework
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Design play-based, emergent curriculum experiences that encourage sensory exploration, language development, and early social skills
Observe, document, and assess children’s developmental progress using approved centre tools such as Storypark
Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, nap routines, and transitions while maintaining dignity and responsive care
Build positive and professional relationships with families through regular communication and collaboration
Maintain compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and centre policies
Collaborate with co-educators, leadership, and support staff to ensure quality care and programming
Guide children using positive child guidance strategies appropriate for infant and toddler development
Maintain organized learning environments, classroom cleanliness, and accurate records
