We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. This role involves supporting landscape and maintenance projects, ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, enjoy working outdoors, and possess a basic understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance practices.
Qualifications
· Valid Alberta Driver’s License
· Current Driver’s Abstract
· Criminal Record Check
· WHMIS certification
· Strong communication skills (fluent in written and spoken English)

- Prior experience with horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is a plus
- Experience in outdoor maintenance or related fields will be advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscape upkeep techniques and safety procedures is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, trimming, and mulching
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform various landscaping activities
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance
- Perform general groundskeeping duties such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Support team in installing and maintaining garden features and structures
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning
Term Of Appointment
· Seasonal employment: April 15 – September 30
· Hours – 30 to 40 hours per week
· Wage - $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
