Description
Paddle Prairie Métis Settlement is implementing a mobile overdose emergency response and community health support initiative. We are seeking a Contracted Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) who will also serve as the van driver and program support to assist the PCP with on-site stabilization support and in-home wellness visits, operate and maintain the mobile unit in rural conditions, and manage core coordination tasks (calls, scheduling, documentation, and basic logs) to keep services running smoothly and safely.

Calm under pressure; able to support urgent situations safely
Strong organization (scheduling, documentation, follow-ups)
Reliable communication and teamwork with the PCP
Comfortable driving in rural/winter conditions and handling logistics
Professional, culturally safe, non-judgmental approach
Qualifications
EMR credential (or higher) OR documented training/competency in overdose recognition/response including naloxone administration (as required by your hiring standard)
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence (or higher)
Current BLS/CPR (HCP) (or ability to obtain before start)
Police Information Check (Vulnerable Sector may be required)
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift/carry ~25–30 kg
Pay Rate
$350 per shift
