Description
Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement is implementing a mobile overdose emergency response and community health support initiative in the. We are seeking 2 Contracted Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) to provide on-scene assessment and stabilization for suspected overdoses and other urgent conditions, support mobile outreach and in-home wellness visits, deliver overdose prevention training, and complete basic program documentation and reporting in the Settlement.
Qualifications
PCP credential in good standing (recognized/accredited PCP program)
Current BLS/CPR (HCP)
Vulnerable Sector Check (or ability to obtain before start)
Responsibilities
The PCP will respond to suspected overdoses and other urgent conditions by assessing, stabilizing, and providing care within PCP scope and protocols; coordinate EMS activation and transport/ER transfers when indicated; conduct mobile outreach and community/site visits while maintaining readiness of the mobile unit (equipment and supplies); support scheduled in-home wellness visits through assessment and appropriate interventions within scope; deliver community training on overdose prevention and response (including naloxone education and emergency activation); collaborate with the Knowledge Keeper and community partners to ensure culturally safe service delivery; and complete required program documentation and reporting (encounters, locations served, referrals/transfers, unique clients, etc.) while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
Pay Rate
$400 per shift
