Whether you're a student, recent graduate, or someone looking to develop your skills, this Arts Instructor role is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in arts education while making a difference in your community.
As an Arts Instructor, you'll plan, organize, and teach arts classes for children and youth. You'll have the chance to build leadership skills, develop lesson plans, and bring creativity to life all while working in a fun and supportive environment.
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching and working with people of all ages.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and manage class materials and activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
- A passion for the arts, with knowledge in a variety of artistic media.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or have completed a two-year Diploma in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least two years of experience in arts education or a related field.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-B certificate.
- Physical ability to work with a variety of arts materials and equipment.
- Available to work a full-time schedule between June 1,2026, to August 26,2026.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging arts classes for children and youth.
- Organize and manage art supplies within a set budget.
- Assist with student registration as needed.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment.
- Work closely with other instructors and staff to coordinate programming.
- Maintain records and submit final reports as required.
