Description
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual to provide private respite care for our happy, music-loving 16-year-old daughter. She has Rett Syndrome and is non-verbal and non-mobile, meaning she relies on her aide for all aspects of her daily routine.
We are looking for someone to join our team for the following shifts:
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 2:30-8:00pm
Fridays: 2:30-8:00pm (as needed)
Saturdays: 10:00am-3:00pm (as needed)
Qualifications
Age: 18+ years old
Licence: Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Attributes: We need someone who is exceptionally reliable, flexible and patient.
Safety: First-Aid/CPR training is preferred.
Requirements: Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check and professional references.
Responsibilities
Our daughter is a joyful girl who loves swimming and being around her two younger siblings. Your role will involve:
Personal Care: Assistance with feeding, changing, and showering.
Physical Support: Implementing stretches and exercises.
Mobility: Must be comfortable with lifting (she is approximately 65 lbs).
Transportation: Providing pickups from school and assistance with medical appointments using our wheelchair van. In spring she plays Challenger Baseball on Thursday evenings.
Engagement: Playing, listening to music, and keeping her active and included.
Pay Rate
from $17.00/hr
Term Of Appointment
We are looking for a long-term fit to provide stability for our daughter.
