Camp Tamarack provides an inclusive, barrier-free outdoor camping experience through
accessible, fun-filled, and innovative programs. Our safe and positive environment nurtures
personal and social growth by supporting physical, social, emotional, and personal development.

The Role
Program Leaders live Camp Tamarack’s Core Values of Inclusion, Community, Empowerment,
Belonging, and Adventure. You will work alongside an experienced and supportive staff team to
deliver high-quality, fun, safe, and inclusive outdoor programs to campers of all ages and
abilities.
Program Leaders are responsible for ensuring that program areas operate safely and positively,
and that all participants feel supported, engaged, and included throughout their time at camp.
Seasonal Responsibilities
Spring & Fall:
• Facilitate outdoor and challenge course programs
• Apply risk management and safety protocols
• Prepare and maintain program spaces
• Promote inclusion, environmental stewardship, and Challenge by Choice
Summer:
• Supervise and support campers at all times
• Provide emotional and personal care as required
• Perform rotational night duty
• Support inclusive camper experiences
• Participate in daily and weekly camp upkeep
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Strong initiative, work ethic, and teamwork skills
• Desire to work with children, youth, and people of all abilities
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C (or willingness to obtain)
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Clear Child Welfare Check (Alberta residents only
