Overview:
Glenview Church of the Nazarene is a Christ-centered, Spirit-led, community-minded church seeking a Worship Director with a heart for Jesus and a passion for joyful, engaging worship. This position is for a spiritually mature, musically gifted leader who desires to shepherd a team, create meaningful worship experiences, and help others grow in their faith through worship.

Qualifications
Key Qualifications:
• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ marked by spiritual maturity, integrity, and a heart for worship.
• A teachable spirit, servant-leader attitude, and strong team orientation.
• Skilled vocalist and instrumentalist, with the ability to lead confidently and musically.
• Experience leading and managing teams with grace, encouragement, and clarity.
• Knowledge of Christian worship music across a variety of styles and eras.
• The ability to teach music and coach others vocally or instrumentally is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for creating meaningful worship environments where people encounter God.
Requirements & Expectations:
• Agreement with the Church of the Nazarene’s Articles of Faith and Covenant of Christian Conduct (Manual 1–16.2; 28–35).
• Willingness to become a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
• Must model an active, growing Christian faith, character, and lifestyle.
• Be committed to building the worship ministry as a place of discipleship, spiritual growth, and team development.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Worship:
Lead the musical portion of our Sunday worship services with excellence and authenticity, planning and preparing with spiritual sensitivity and musical creativity.
• Team Leadership:
Shepherd, train, and equip a team of worship leaders, musicians, and tech volunteers. Provide spiritual encouragement, care, and leadership development.
• Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, organize, and support volunteers who serve in worship, audio, visual, and media ministries. Ensure they feel valued and equipped.
• Worship Planning:
Collaborate with the pastoral team to design services that are Christ-focused, Spirit-filled, and culturally relevant across generations and genres.
• Musical Direction:
Rehearse and arrange music for teams. Teach parts, harmonies, and instrumentation as needed. The ability to read music and play by ear/chords is ideal.
• Discipleship and Development:
Build up the worship ministry as a place of discipleship, equipping others to lead and serve. Identify, train, and mentor new worship leaders and team members.
