The CPS is looking for service-oriented, caring, passionate, people (f/m/x) who reflect the diversity of our community and possess a high degree of personal integrity, display sound judgment, have intelligent decision-making skills, maturity, common sense, and possess the core values of CPS: Respect, Honesty, Compassion, Courage, Fairness, Accountability, and Integrity.
Qualifications
• At least 18 years of age.
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Class 5 non-GDL licence
• Enhanced Security Clearance (ESC)
• No criminal activity within the last three years
• Must meet physical fitness standards
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to upholding the law impartially and with integrity.
Responsibilities
The CPS officers are responsible for a multitude of responsibilities including (but not limited to) enforcing laws, patrolling, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, attending court, maintaining public order, providing assistance where needed all while building positive relationships with community members to foster trust and cooperation.
