As a member of the team at the 7P Facility, the Quality Control Technician will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be located at our sand processing facility in Seven Persons Alberta. The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Technician is to analyze the particle size of the various products produced by the plant according to ISO and RP56 guidelines. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for sampling and testing all types of sand produced by the facility and identifying when an issue exists if a product does not meet specification.

Qualifications
- Keep a clean, well-organized work space and records.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to follow consistent procedure for sampling and testing technique.
- Must be a strong proponent of a safe work environment.
- Ability to work on a rotational basis, day, evening and night shifts.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Sampling of various sands for analysis following proper sampling procedure.
- Testing the particle size moisture content and turbidity of sampled sands.
- Record and organize data for various sampled sands.
- Identify problem if sampled sand does not meet required standard.
- Communicate, coordinate and plan daily work activity with the shift foreman and operators.
- Maintain strong working relationship with managers, supervisors, and co-workers
- Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive work relationships and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Promote safety as a value and ensure compliance to OH&S standards by others within the company.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
