Qualifications
Requirements:
Child and Youth Care Degree or Diploma or;
• Related Diploma or Degree; no experience required
Related Education (either Diploma or Degree):
• Human Service Worker, Social Work, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Correctional or Police Services, Psychology, Sociology, and Education.
• Note: There are no equivalencies for Child and Youth care Worker 1. Candidates must possess, at minimum, a diploma in one of the previously listed educational areas.
Assets:
• A high cultural competency in Indigenous experience
• Child and Youth Care Degree or Diploma
• Related experience in therapeutic campus-based care setting, working with indigenous populations, working in youth homes, teacher, educational assistant, crisis intervention, family counselling, youth counselling, youth correction work, childcare program development (Teacher, Educational Assistant, Psychologist) and behavioral therapy.
• Current Certification in First Aid with CPR and Suicide Intervention
Related experience in therapeutic campus-based care setting, working with indigenous populations, working in youth homes, teacher, educational assistant, crisis intervention, family counselling, youth counselling, youth correction work, childcare program development (Teacher, Educational Assistant, Psychologist) and behavioral therapy.

There are multiple positions available including Temporary, Permanent and On Call Wage opportunities. This competition will be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill current and future vacancies at our treatment centres.
Temporary and Permanent Employee Hours of Work:
Up to 7.75 hrs. daily/shift including days, evenings, night, and weekend shifts. Up to 38.75/ hours weekly
Wage Employee Hours of Work:
Hours depend on centre needs and will vary between 0-38.75 hours per week. Wage employees work on an on-call basis, receiving an hourly wage as well as $2.75 hourly evening shift differential, $3.25 hourly weekend premium as well as $5.00 shift differential for working night shifts. Employees are expected to be available a minimum number of shifts per week (depending on location)
