Description
Join the Ministry of Forestry and Parks as a Wildfire Dispatcher and contribute to effective wildfire response and community safety. This critical role involves coordinating wildfire resources, managing communication links, and ensuring accurate data entry.
Qualifications
High school diploma with one year of related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong computer skills, including data record management and organizational experience.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
Responding to 310-Fire calls and monitoring fire activities.
Managing communication between Duty Room, aircraft, lookouts, and field crews.
Utilizing and troubleshooting communication equipment and computer applications.
Processing aircraft requests, initiating emergency response procedures, and maintaining safety protocols.
Functioning in the Incident Command System during office and wildfire assignments.
