Description
The
Medicine Hat College will be holding a Community Job Fair on Wednesday, January 29th from 10am –
3pm in the Centennial Hall Foyer and B-wing hallway.
What is the Community Job Fair?
The Community Job Fair is exactly like its name - it is a job fair for the community. This is an event geared towards helping all jobseekers (students, public, alumni etc.) connect with a variety of employers from numerous industries in the region, and throughout the province.
In addition to employers, there are numerous employment-related exhibitors on hand to provide job seekers with valuable resources and support to help with their job search needs. From service providers, employment agencies, industry associations and post-secondary institutions, they are here to give guidance and advice to job seekers.
What if I’m not a Medicine Hat College student?
We welcome and encourage you to come on campus and connect with employers from all industries. Many of our exhibitors have a wide variety of opportunities from entry-level to management roles, which gives you a chance to apply to a variety of reputable and exceptional employers under one roof. Meet with recruitment and human resources personnel, apply for some jobs, or meet with some of the many service providers onsite to answer your employment-related questions. While you are here, feel free to explore our campus and obtain information on the many courses and programs we offer!
What about high school students?
Deciding what to do after graduation is a major decision, but we can certainly help you navigate your career options. Come and check out the exhibitor booths and discover the variety of jobs available, the types of employers within our region, what qualifications you need to gain employment with them, and take the time to ask exhibitors questions about their industries. This is a fantastic opportunity to do some informational interviewing and research on potential career choices.
